About
Eastlake Male Youth Initiative (EMYI) is a youth leadership and mentoring program designed especially for middle and high school African American males. For nine months, students from metro Atlanta learn leadership through workshops, cultural immersion, 1-1 mentoring, and participate in community service projects.

EMYI program content and student engagement is centered around four functional outcomes:
1. Build leadership and life skills
2. Promote leadership by example
3. Cultivate leadership through mentoring
4. Lead and develop community impact

EMYI begins in October and runs through May. Students are expected to engage with mentors and college student ambassadors twice a month. They also attend half-day sessions during which they are challenged and coached by business, civic, and community leaders. All students participate in community service projects to build their awareness of community issues and advocacy skills. The program culminates with the opportunity for students to share reflections and celebrate during a graduation ceremony.

We believe all men can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
Our Mission
We aim to raise the trajectory of achievement for African American males 10 - 16 years old using the power of motivation, inspiration, and imagination.
